Vodafone Lets Postpaid Customers Relocate With Ease

Subscribers can continue services using their original tariff plans, but with a new number.

 

Vodafone has launched a new service that enables billed users to retain their services uninterrupted when shifting from one circle to another. To use this service, the subscriber will have to inform the operator's customer care, which will in turn inform the team at the new location. After this, the customer care will co-ordinate with the user for documents such as proof of the new billing address. Once completed, users can continue to enjoy services without any interruption, keeping the credit limit and tariff plans intact. Currently Vodafone is available in 23 telecom circles.

Unfortunately, users still cannot hold on to their original number. This is mainly because under TRAI rules, mobile number portability (MNP) does not work across circles. Speaking about the announcement, Vodafone's Chief Commercial Officer Sanjoy Mukerji said, "Through this service, we aim to provide our postpaid customers a hassle-free relocation experience and uninterrupted services on Vodafone". If you're planning to shift base in the near future, at least this will be one less thing to worry about when you move.
