Kerala Govt Website Restored While Indian Hackers Retaliate
The defacing of Kerala Govt website has resulted in Indian hackers taking down over 200 Pakistan sites and a lot of them belong to government.
After being hacked, the official website of the Government of Kerala is now restored by the department of information and public relations.
The access to the website has been finally regained and a 'website under maintenance' sign has been put up on the homepage of the site.
To recall, after the cyber attackers who are suspected to be from Pakistan attacked the website, a burning Indian flag on the homepage of the website and slogans "Pakistan Zindabad" and 'security is just an illusion" were displayed.

However, soon after the Kerala Govt. website was hacked, a group of Indian hackers seemed to have shown their response by hacking more than 200 Pakistan government and private websites.
Also, according to The Times of India, the Indian hackers have also tracked down the Facebook page of the suspected Pakistan national who was responsible for defacing the official Kerala Govt website.
Along with this, the hacker who has been identified as Faisal Afzal had also hacked into the Chennai Customs' website recently and the website of the Indian Boxing Federation earlier in August.
Such series of cyber attacks are definitely not a good sign and is in-fact a worrisome issue to which the officials should act quick and upgrade the framework of many government websites which are outdated.
