Indian smartphone maker Lava has launched a new 4G smartphone in India on Monday dubbed as the Pixel V2.
Priced at Rs 10,399, the Pixel V2 is supposed to be the successor of Pixel V1, company's first Android One smartphone.
However, it is worth noting that the successor Pixel V2 does not belong to the Google's Android One series of smartphones.

Also, comparing the price tags of both the smartphones, the Pixel V2 seems to be a little cheaper and at the same time, boasts better technical specifications, especially in the camera section.
The newly launched Pixel V2 comes with a 13 MP rear camera with aperture f2.0 and dual LED flash and an 8 MP front camera with aperture f2.4 and LED flash while the Pixel V1 is equipped with a similar 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.
The Pixel V2 comes with a 5 inch display screen protected by Dragon trail Glass while the predecessor Pixel V1 sports a 5.5 inch display screen.

Speaking about other specifications, the Pixel V2 is powered by a 64 bit MediaTek quad-core processor and 2 GB DDR3 RAM along with 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB.
On the connectivity front, the Pixel V2 supports 4G LTE unlike the Pixel V1 which came with only 3G connectivity support.
The Pixel V2 comes with a 2,500 mAh battery and is said to be currently available both online and offline in Icy White and Royal Black colour variants.
Finally, considering both features and price point, the Lava Pixel V2 may pose threat in the Indian market to some Chinese players like Xiaomi and Lenovo and also home grown Micromax.
