Intex Launches Budget Smartphone Cloud 4G Star At Rs 7,299

While the smartphone is pocket friendly, it comes boosted with slow motion video support.

Indian smartphone company Intex has brought a new 4G enabled smartphone in to the league of budget phones in India. The new smartphone dubbed as Cloud 4G Star has been launched in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart at a price of Rs 7,299.

The new device comes with a 5 inch IPS HD display while it runs on a MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. Along with this, the smartphone's screen comes protected by a scratch resistant Dragon Trail glass.

The smartphone packs a 2,300 mAh battery, which according to the official listing is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 210 hours of standby time. The Intex Cloud 4G Star measures 140x71x9.45mm, weighs 136 grams, and will be available in Black and Champagne colors.

Speaking about the smartphone's camera section, it comes with a 13 MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash along with a 5 MP front facing snapper. On the connectivity front, the Intex Cloud 4G Star offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.

The company also claims the new smartphone to be the best package available in the sub-Rs 10,000 category while we expect this device to compete against the likes of Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G and Xiaomi Redmi 2 which are available around the same price point. Also, the smartphone looks quite similar to the recently launched Lava Iris X5 4G which is surprisingly priced a little higher than the Cloud 4G Star from Intex.

Having said everything, we should not miss to note that the smartphone supports slow motion video even though it is a budget smartphone. Along with this, it also support multiple regional languages.

Looking at the specs, we feel this might be a pretty decent smartphone while keeping the price point in mind.
