Redmi 1S Finally Gets Stable MIUI 6 ROM Update

The updated ROM brings a new notification centre, smart blocklist and visual menu for voice service calls.

 

Xiaomi has now started rolling out MIUI 6 update for its Redmi 1S smartphone.

It is worth noting that the company had recently launched a major upgrade to MIUI ROM, but only few smartphone could run on the stable MIUI 6 ROM.

But, now, after free months of releasing the beta version, the latest update for the Redmi 1S seems to be a stable ROM.

The size of the updated firmware which is currently rolling out over-the-air weighs around 642 MB in size and is reaching the users slowly one by one.

Speaking about the features that come with the latest update, it brings a new notification centre with toggles for music control panel, notifications for new messages, missed calls, reminders, app notices and more.

The new updated MIUI 6 ROM also comes with a smart blocklist and visual menu for voice service calls.

It is also worth noting that the MIUI 6 ROM is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
