Nokia Beta Labs has made the Nokia Reader available for its Series 40 feature phones. The Finns claim that the application keeps you up-to-date with the latest news, without losing too much battery and bandwidth. 

The application features the Nokia Notifications technology that sends out notifications only for breaking news. You can customise the application to deliver stories that are relevant. What's more, the app can be added to your phone's homescreen for quick access.
 
According to Nokia, the app works well with its touch-and-type phones including Asha 303, Asha 300, C2-02, X3-02, C3-01. However, you can expect a few bugs since the app carries a beta tag. Also note that, you need to register for Nokia account in order to download it.
