Xiaomi Likely To Launch Redmi Note 2 On June 29

CEO Lei Jun has been hinting lately that the forthcoming smartphone would be a Redmi Note device.

 

It seems that the chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is all set to launch its new device "Redmi Note 2" on June 29.

While we are still unaware officially as to which smartphone could be unveiled later this month, but the company's CEO Lei Jun has been making announcements asking readers on Weibo to expect the launch of a new "Xiaomi Note device" on the given date.

Also, considering the roadmap of Xiaomi that was leaked last month on mobile-dad.com, the company is looking forward to launch the Redmi Note 2 and the Redmi  Note 2 Pro.

Coming to the technical specs of the Redmi Note 2, we have been hearing lately that the smartphone would be flaunting a 5.5 inch full HD display while powered by MediaTek's latest Helio X10 chipset.

Other features of the smartphone are expected to include a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera along with 3,000 mAh battery, LTE support and MIUI 6 wrapped under Android Lollipop.

However, the price of the smartphone is still unknown as there is no official announcement regarding the smartphone, its price and availability.
