Now, It's Time For "Highlights" By Instagram
With the same name as Twitter's, Instagram is trying to bring the best posts to its users via emails.
It looks like Instagram is stepping into the path set by Twitter long back in 2012; deliver week's popular tweets directly into users' email inbox.
While solving the same purpose, Instagram's Highlights is basically made up of the best posts from people you follow.
It is also said to be the first email service to come from the app.
To add in more details, Instagram Highlights is different from Twitter Highlights in the sense that while Twitter sends out the best tweets to your Android device, Instagram mails it.

But, the question that rises here is that, in this age of spam mails, how many of its users would be okay to receive an extra email.
However, it is being said that, the new feature could help users filter their content, weeding out the compulsive posters and seeing more of their real friends' posts.
May be, the company has understood that Email isn't dead and using them to keep users updated is something that Instagram might have belief in.
