iBall Reveals Andi 2 Smartphone
Dual-SIM Android sports a 3.5" screen; priced at Rs 10,000.
iBall has announced an entry-level Android phone, the Andi 2 in India. The handset features dual-SIM functionality and sports a 3.5" capacitive screen. On the downside though, it runs Froyo, which is now considered as an outdated version of the Android OS.
On the hardware front, it has an 800 MHz CPU under the hood. Apart from that, the device has a 3 MP primary and a front VGA camera. Others specs of the device include microSD card support up to 32 GB, 3G capabilities, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack, and a 1450 mAh battery.
The Andi 2 is priced at Rs 10,000, and is pitted against Samsung's GALAXY Y Duos. Since the GALAXY Y Duos is a thousand bucks cheaper and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), I wonder whether iBall stands a chance against Samsung's offering. However, its relatively bigger display might give it an edge over its competition.
