Retro Game 'Snake' To Get Its Sequel 'Snake Rewind' Soon
The new game comes with in-app purchases pretty much like a typical smartphone game.
The age-old popular mobile game 'Snake' which was once upon a time the most played game especially on Nokia feature phones.
Almost two decades later, the original Snake game is all set to be re-released with new visual effects, sounds and innovative new features.
This new Snake game dubbed as the 'Snake Rewind' is said to be available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices from May 14 for free of cost. However, the game is said to include in-app purchases.
The new Snake Rewind game will have new features like power-ups in the form of Fruit Magnet, Trailblazer and Score Multiplier a 'fruit store' allows users to make in-app purchases.
Also, to add in more information to this, the sequel of the retro game is also being worked upon by the creator Taneli Armanto himself along with Rumilur Design.
There is a YouTube video uploaded by the creators showing us the latest to-be-launched sequel of the popular retro game.
The original game allowed only one fruit to be collected at a time represented by dots on the screen and the game got over if the snake touched its own tail or the surrounding wall.
But, in the sequel, the users will have an option to rewind the snake if they crash into the wall or into the tail of the snake, pretty much to match the smartphone gaming era.
While many of us have witnessed the success of the original Snake in the feature phone era, we just have to wait and watch how the sequel will play in the smartphone game market.
