As we can see, technology is taking our lives to unimaginable heights with latest tablets, smartphones being rolled out almost every single day and not to mention about smartwatches, dual camera technology with the latest Honor Plus 6 and a soon-to-be-developed 52 MP camera for smartphones.

We have also seen recently that an Israeli startup company 'Sesame' developing the first ever hands-free smartphone which is made specially for the disabled people.

May be inspired by these innovations, South Korean researchers have recently come up with an app that helps people with arm paralysis use any smartphone they like.

The app being dubbed as Dowell is designed to assist people who can't use their hands well and is targeted mainly at users with muscular dystrophy, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, stroke and other ailments that restrict movement of their arms.

It is worth noting that the app actually works with a variety of input methods like trackball mouse, head-tracking camera and mouth stick.

To remind you, the smartphone by Sesame also works on similar concept by a camera recognising the movement of the users' head.

This app seems to remove the limitations that were attached with people having upper-limb disabilities who were restricted to PCs. Now, it looks like they can use any smartphones they want without any hurdles.

According to Computer World, the project is being presented at the 2015 Computer-Human Interaction Conference in Seoul as part of an industry-university collaboration involving Samsung Electronics.

Also, it is being said that the application is being planned to be released soon on the Samsung Apps platform in a few months.

Hopefully, this app will help the disabled users to make the best use of their smartphones.
