Windows 10 Preview Now Coming To More Phones

The list is preliminary and may change accordingly, Microsoft stresses.

 

This is going to be a good news if you are a Nokia Lumia smartphone user.

According to a recent blog post, Windows has it that the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones will be sent out to almost all Nokia Lumia devices.

To remind you, the Windows 10 Preview program was open up to smartphones back in February itself.

However, no much devices seemed to have supported then with reasons being many, especially on the technical side. Microsoft had to select phones with an OS partition large enough to handle Windows 10.

Now, it looks like the partition-resizing feature known as Partition Stitching is completely ready which has enabled the Windows development team to expand the preview to include support for additional Lumia devices.

The expanded compatibility list includes 36 Lumia models, including the Lumia 1020 and Lumia 1520.

However, Microsoft has also pointed out that this list is a preliminary one and can be changed according to the situation.

This means that the company may add or remove models from the compatibility list as it fixes bugs - or finds new ones.
