GALAXY Note 4 Users In For A Treat With Android 5.1 Update
The upcoming update should pack in the latest version of TouchWiz.
The Samsung GALAXY Note 4 is indeed a brilliant smartphone. While the device is a few months old, it does pack in all the necessary power to make it one of the most capable phablet devices in the Indian market. Good news is, there is more coming.
News comes from a report that has surfaced online stating that Samsung will pack in the latest TouchWiz version, seen on the new GALAXY S6 devices for the Note 4.
While Samsung GALAXY Note 4 owners already qualify for the next Android 5.1 update, it is indeed good news that the TouchWiz version will be upgraded as well.
This is big news, as Samsung rarely (almost never) upgrades the TouchWiz UX on its devices unlike LG that is pretty positive about the same approach.
So far we only have news that the GALAXY Note 4 (and hopefully the Note Edge) qualify for the TouchWiz UX upgrade. The software is said to be lighter and makes the UI a lot faster compared to the older one; that gets bogged down because of the pointless Samsung extras.
The GALAXY S6 that we had a hands-on with at the Indian launch event is proof of this, even though we are sure that it is the 14 nm manufacturing process of the Exynos 7420 that seems to be doing all the heavy-lifting.
As for the update itself, it is expected to arrive on the Samsung GALAXY S6, S6 edge and the GALAXY Note 4 starting Q3 2015.
