The initiative will facilitate different government accounts to stay in touch with the citizens via SMS.
With an aim to boost the India's e-governance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the popular micro-blogging site Twitter has come up with an initiative called #TwitterSamvad.
This initiative which actually works on the intention of sending across tweets of 16 Indian Government Twitter accounts to the citizens as an SMS on a daily basis.
To recall, Twitter, launched 9 years ago, was invented on SMS to begin with. So, in a way, it’s going back to its roots in India with the launch of Twitter Samvad.
The plus point of this service is that people with or without an Internet data plan can register by just giving a missed call to a unique numbers for each of the 16 partners.
