Coolpad’s Ivvi K1 Mini Takes Away The ‘Slimmest Smartphone’ Title From Vivo
Who wants to try a bend test?
Apple started the madness and we now have manufacturers trying to compete for the slimmest smartphone in the world title. Well, if you thought that smartphones could not get any slimmer than the Vivo X5 Max, think again.
Coolpad has announced its slim smartphone offering in the form of the Ivvi K1 Mini. The handset comes with mid-range internals and is just 4.7 mm in overall thickness.
One look at the specs and you will realise that this is not a premium device, but Coolpad’s way of delivering a slim smartphone to the masses.
As for the external body, we get a large 4.7 inch display that sits flush with the rest of the front. The back of the smartphone comes with an interesting “baby skin” texture on the back, which although sounds odd, should feel soft, grippy and fingerprint-free.
The hardware inside the Ivvi K1 Mini is indeed not much to talk about:
- We get a 4.7 inch display on the front (of unknown resolution)
- Inside there is a budget Qualcomm built, Snapdragon 410 (64-bit) processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM
- The camera department consists of an 8 MP camera on the back, while the front gets graced with a 5 MP sensor
- The handset will come with 4G connectivity and at 4.7 mm manages to pack in an impressive 1800 mAh battery
The Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini goes on sale in China in white for CNY 1299, which converts to about INR 13,000. There is no news about a global roll out for the smartphone just yet.
