Leaked: Alleged GALAXY S6 Metal Chassis Shows Off A Series Design Cues
Considering all the rumours about the smartphone in the past, we did expect a better looking product from Samsung.

When Samsung said that they will begin revamping their product line-up, we all breathed a sigh of relief thinking that the Korean company’s smartphones would finally look a bit different. Well the company did just that with the new GALAXY Note 4 and even the GALAXY Note Edge where we were treated to a display with a curved edge. Then there is the A series of handsets that came with an all-metal body despite the fact that they belonged to the mid-range. So with rumours going around that Samsung would be building the GALAXY S6 from scratch, we were indeed expecting something breathtaking. Something that would sport an all-aluminium chassis with a display that is expected to have two curved edges. So we were indeed pretty surprised when we saw this ugly chunk of metal showing up in the leak we have today.
In all probability, this could be an early prototype chassis of the Samsung GALAXY S6 that has now leaked out. Well, that is at least what we choose to believe. While the chassis does remind us of the HTC HD2 (the one that ran Windows) it is pretty clear that Samsung seems to have taken some design cues from the A series (A3, A5 and A7) of handsets. There seems to be no room for a dual curved edge display and the body looks pretty boxy at best.
So is this the GALAXY S6 we should expect from Samsung? Well, the company will not be showing off the smartphone at CES for sure, but we could expect the same to happen at the MWC Barcelona in March. Hopefully Samsung will have worked on it by then. Else we would end up with another disappointing product similar to the GALAXY S5 launch last year.
