Intex Launches The Entry-Level Aqua V2 For Rs 3090
There are basic Android smartphones and then there is the Intex Aqua V2.
Intex has just launched its Aqua V2 smartphone that makes an Android One handset look high-end and premium. The smartphone (as you may have noticed by now) is a bare bones Android device that we think is best reserved for calls and running WhatsApp.
Intex has managed to deliver an Android smartphone that comes with the most basic Android specifications. Along with those meagre hardware internals also comes a basic price tag that is almost half the price of the Android One smartphones that have been approved by Google.
Clearly its not the specs that matter here as the smartphone has been designed to offer the Android platform to basic feature phone users. While the Intex Aqua V2 does run KitKat we are pretty sure that the 256 MB of RAM will take you nowhere apart from calls and SMS.
Still then, let us bravely look at the hardware specs that the Intex Aqua V2 has on offer:
- We get a 3.5 inch 320 x 480 capacitive touch screen display
- Inside we get a 1 GHz Spreadtrum SC7715 processor that comes with 256 MB of RAM
- The memory department consists of 512 MB of internal memory (104 MB available to the user) along with external memory card support
- We get a 2 MP camera on the back (with an LED flash) while the front gets 0.3 MP unit
- We get dual SIM slots with dual standby support
- The device surprisingly comes with 3G bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth
- Powering all of the above is 1300 mAh battery
The Intex Aqua V2 comes in black, brown and white colours and is priced Rs 3,090.
