Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 2 Render Leaks
We get our first glimpse of Xiaomi’s next flash sale record breaker.
Yes, this could actually be the first official image of Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 2. While the handset’s specs have been rumoured for quite some time, we haven’t got a chance to see the actual device, until now.
A mysterious looking Xiaomi device with the ‘Mi’ branding has shown up on a Chinese tech forum online. Our guesses point out to the Redmi Note 2 as it would be the only smartphone that Xiaomi would be working on (and has rumoured to be working on) as of now; more so since they already have their hands full with the upcoming Mi 4’s assembly.
The image shows the back of the handset and looks like a rubberised finish on what could be a complete plastic construction. Xiaomi is known for building quality handsets so we do think that they have the ability to pull off a plastic build pretty well. What is also visible is the LED flash unit along with the vertically placed ‘8.0 MP’ camera branding, alongside the camera lens.
As for the rumoured specs of the smartphone:
- We should expect a 5.5 inch display of 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution
- A Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (64-bit) processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM
- Also expected is an 8 MP camera sensor on the back with an LED flash
- The handset should come with a 3500 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and even include dual-4G band support with that
While the Redmi Note has yet to go up on sale, we could expect the Redmi Note 2 to show up instead, but at a later date. This could be the reason why Xiaomi is delaying the Redmi Note’s sale in India even though it has priced the Note at Rs 10,000.
