Intex Launches The Aqua Y2 PRO, Entry-Level Smartphone In India
Even at its low asking price, the hardware somehow does not seem justified.
Intex has launched its all-new, entry-level, Android-powered smartphone called the Aqua Y2 PRO. The handset seems to be designed specifically for the youth, something that becomes pretty noticeable once you get past the Navy Blue colour scheme. Indeed when a smartphone is targeted at the youth, the first things that comes to mind is the price which in the case of the Aqua Y2 PRO somehow does not seem right at Rs 4,333.
Karbonn had recently launched a handset going by the name of the Titanium S20 which retails for a bit higher, but looks better and also comes with more RAM and quad-core processor inside.
As for the Aqua Y2 PRO the hardware specs are as follows:
- A 4 inch 800 x 480 pixels IPS display
- Inside we get a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 chipset with 512 MB of RAM
- There’s 4 GB of internal memory and expandable memory up to 32 GB via an SD Card slot
- We get a 5 MP camera and an LED flash along with a VGA front-facing one
- Included are the usual radios like Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G bands along with the dual SIM functionality
- Lastly the handset is powered by 1600 mAh battery and runs on Android KitKat 4.4
One thing to note is that the smartphone even in this range comes with camera essentials like HDR and continuous shot. The Intex Aqua Y2 PRO is available in black and Navy Blue with retailers across the country starting today.
