Nokia Lumia 1020 Now Selling For Rs 28000 Online
For the imaging quality that it offers we think it's a steal.
Yes, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is now retailing for Rs 27,999 at online retailer Flipkart. One of the best imaging smartphones we have reviewed to date, the Nokia Lumia 1020 was probably one of the best incarnations of the PureView tech (taken to the extremes of course); along with a mobile eco-system that actually makes sense.
Indeed the price cannot get any lower as the famous yellow model is already out of stock. If you are heading to the website right now, you will have to choose between the black and the white models only. It makes sense to rush right now as Microsoft (Nokia) has ended the production of the handset, so basically these are the last handsets that are currently available. Now the handset might sport the old Snapdragon S4, but it is clearly no slouch compared to Microsoft's mid-range offerings these days.
Coming from Windows Phone (WP) and Microsoft, it seems to be pretty clear that they would be looking more into the mid and budget segment for now (McLaren was cancelled as well), with mid-range handsets like the Lumia 830. Microsoft indeed seems to be pushing out the PureView tech via these smartphones.
Of course the Samsung GALAXY K Zoom is another great option that is priced a lot lower at Rs 19,999 (Amazon) and comes with 10X optical zoom as well. You will have to bear up with 200 g bulge in your pocket (the lumia weighs 158 g) but on the bright side you do get the Android eco-system and the apps (Yes, Android has an official Flickr app compared to WP) and the features that come with it.
But if you are a Nokia fan, there clearly isn’t a better time to own a piece of Nokia history than right now.
