First Renders Of The Upcoming Google Nexus X/6 Leaked

One look and you could indeed mistake it for being the recently launched 2nd generation Moto X.

While we do know about the specifications of the soon to be announced Nexus X (or 6) smartphone from Google, we have yet to have our first glimpse of it. Well, for those of you who have been waiting to see the next handset from Google, today is your day as an image of the Nexus X has finally surfaced online.

The handset at first glance looks pretty similar to the recently launched Moto X. Except that it is a bit bigger and the power and volume buttons have moved from the top right side to middle. This is indeed going to be a big handset as was confirmed through the recently leaked specs thanks to the benchmarking tools.

While the front and the metal-frame looks exactly similar to the Moto X; it’s the back that seems to have gotten a makeover. The camera unit seems smaller but still sports the dual LED ring flash unit from the X, along with the trademark Moto dimple below it.

As for the software, we expect Google to skip on any bloat ware, that means no Moto Voice even though this handset will be made by Motorola. As for the hardware, past leaks have pointed out to

  • A 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 silicon coupled with 3 GB of RAM
  • Handling the graphics will be the Adreno 420 GPU
  • Internal memory will again be limited to 32 GB
  • While the 5.2 inch screen sports a Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixel)
  • The camera still remains at 13 MP for the primary one while the front facing 2 MP unit will come from the Moto X

While the above render is the first one, news is that this may not be the final version because it does not contain the Nexus branding. Still then for those of you who have been waiting to compare the Nexus X with the Moto X, well, you can now make that choice.
