Google Now Helps You Chop Airfare Bills

The notifications work only with Google Flights and not every travel booking site just yet

Google has been constantly giving its digital assistant the ability to do new things, and one of the coolest, if not most useful, features yet is the ability to track flight prices. Google Now automatically presents you with relevant flight fare information, based on the travel itinerary you were planning on Google Flights

The feature, which was spotted by Android Police, currently seems to works only with Google Flights and not other travel booking sites. A card will show up as a Google Now notification informing you when the price of the fight ticket changes, or if there's a cheaper flight now available.

According to the Android Police report, it's hard to tell how far Google has rolled out the “flight price monitor card”, and how soon could we see it work with other travel booking websites, if ever. Google has been working backwards, starting off by showing you the best route to the airport, to reminding you of your travel plans and now even helping you book tickets.

Among all the digital assistants from tech giants Apple, Google and Microsoft, Google Now seems to be far ahead in the lead when it comes to being useful. Google has an inherent advantage over the two, by knowing what exactly you're searching for, along with its vast experience of building web based platforms.
