iPhone 6 Survives First Tumble Test, Literally!!!
One of the first customers drops it and not surprisingly it survives
Apple has survived its first toughest test. If it hadn’t, then it would have been heartbreak for Jack, who was one of the first to buy iPhone 6 in Australia.
Just a few minutes after laying his hands on one of his most prized buys so far, Jack dropped it while unboxing it in front of a television crew. Everyone surrounding him had their heart in their mouth, but it looked like the device survived the tumble.
Jack was the first customer in Apple’s store in Perth, Australia and after lining up the whole night was one the first customers to own an iPhone. This is when it looked like the nightmare struck.
For all the testing that it has undergone in the lab, it looks like ion strengthened glass has been crafted to sustain some of the toughest tumbles and Jack would vouch by it.
Even before the launch there have been several reports of Apple looking to adopt Sapphire display for the latest iPhone. Some of the display panels, which hackers managed to lay their hands on survived some of the toughest tests.
Going by this it looks like the Apple may not rue missing out on Sapphire glass as the present technology is tough enough, but watch the second video, which might just show us how lucky Jack was.
Meanwhile, Japan and Australia are the first countries to sell iPhone 6 and there have been reports of police having to break up a scuffle. Tech blogger David Rahimi and his girlfriend Jasmine Juan have officially been named as the first owners of the iPhone 6.
The duo flew from California to Sydney to pick pre-ordered phones. This may not have gone well with a few Australians, who had line up for 10 days.
And what Rahimi does? He does a crash test and see what happens...
Surprisingly, iPhone 6 still can be used even after the screen cracks. Considering the amount of beating the devices took, it is still impressive the they were running.
