Spice Launches Its Dream UNO Mi-498 Android One Powered Smartphone
Comes with 35 GB of Google Drive cloud storage.
Spice has announced its first Android One smartphone called the Dream UNO Mi-498. The handset has been built keeping Google set hardware restrictions in mind and will be receiving software updates from the company as well.
The handset is again similar to the Karbonn Sparkle V and Micromax Canvas A1 but looks different externally thanks to the OEM's customisations. What you do get with the Spice Dream UNO is extra cloud storage. 35 GB of Google Drive storage along with 10 GB of Spice Cloud storage which eventually may drive some buyer to flock to this handset instead of the others.
Specifications are again similar to the rest of the Android One offerings:
- A 4.5 inch (854 x 480 pixel) LCD capacitive touchscreen display
- Inside, we have a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor (MediaTek) coupled with a Mali-400 GPU
- Memory comes in the form of 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM (2.2 GB user accessible) that can be expanded up to 32 GB
- The camera department consists of a 5 MP primary sensor with an LED flash on the back and a 2 MP sensor up front
- The smartphone comes with the usual radios like Wi-FI and Bluetooth and includes dual SIM slots as well
- The Dream UNO runs Android KitKat 4.4 and is powered by a 1700 mAh battery
Spice will be selling its Dream UNO Mi-498 exclusively on Flipkart in both black and white. While the handset had leaked out earlier today, Flipkart has it in stock right now and is available for purchase for a price tag of Rs 6299.
