Meizu MX4 Can Now Be Purchased In India; Pricing Starts From Rs 28,000
The 'benchmarking king' can now be purchased by anyone.
Meizu seems to be inspired by Xiaomi as the Chinese smartphone maker seems to have opened up pre-orders for its recently launched MX4 smartphone globally. The smartphone is indeed quite a piece of kit and packs a punch even though this is a mid-range offering. The MX4 handset was launched just a few weeks ago and comes with some benchmark breaking hardware specs. Meizu has decided that it will be shipping to a number of countries worldwide, directly to buyers, which in a way, does help control the cost of the smartphone.
Meizu will be shipping to certain markets in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. While the page does not mention any country in particular, we did try purchasing one and yes, they do ship to India.
As for the pricing bit, Meizu says that the attractive price (considering the hardware inside) includes shipping and taxes. For now you can purchase the black version of the MX4 in 16 GB or 32 GB capacities at a price tag of Rs 27,413 and Rs 29,855 respectively. This is again a model followed by Xiaomi, which does not involve any middlemen and helps control costs.
As far as the specs go Meizu’s mid-range offering is no slouch and comes with the recently announced octa-core 2.1 GHz MediaTek MT 6595 SoC, coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB internal memory options. There is a 5.32 inch 1920 x 1152 pixel display with a 15:9 aspect ratio up front and 20 MP camera sensor on the back.
What is a bit shaky here is what happens to your Meizu MX4 if its suddenly stops working. For now that indeed seems to be a big question mark as their customer service centres are not exactly available globally.
