Plunder Pirates To Raid International Waters From September 18
If you love strategy games like the Clash of Clans, you will certainly get addicted to this.
Plunder Pirates is one of those hit games that come out once in a while and make an impact. Developed by Midoki, the game was earlier released by Rovio’s publishing arm, Rovio Stars for a limited release in Canada only in June. Now it seems that Midoki is set and ready to go global starting from the 18th of September, but plans to stay exclusive to iOS only for now.
Indeed strategy games are better off by moving over multiple platforms, but developers need to take one hard look at the Android space (and the thousands of devices that exist in it) before taking the leap. We guess that Midoki is indeed testing the waters before it takes over the Android space.
The game was recently featured during the Apple Keynote and is one the games that supports Metal, the new graphics API for iOS 8. The game is like every other strategy game but still maintains its differences from Clash of Clans and others by delivering some breathtaking graphics and slightly different, yet addictive gameplay.
The game will come with the following features for iPhone and iPad and will obviously be releasing shortly after Apple releases iOS 8.
- You can build your own 3D pirate island, then view it from every angle possible
- Assemble your own crazy pirate crew from 10 seafaring scoundrels to choose from
- Explore and unlock uncharted waters on the map
- And battle rival Captains, ransack enemy islands for treasure
Indeed the game is going to be big when it goes global, lets just hope it hits the Android space soon.
