LG G Flex Now Selling For Rs 39,999 In India

With a Rs 30,000 price cut, will you buy one?

LG’s most expensive handset to date, the G Flex is now selling online in India for Rs 39,999. Yes you heard it right. The Korean electronics manufacturer has literally cut off Rs 30,000 from its official price tag of Rs 69,999 and is now selling what would probably be one of this year’s most innovative handsets at a reasonable price tag (if you like bendable smartphones, that is).

The handset was indeed an innovative one, but somehow failed on a couple of parameters such as the self healing back, which somehow did not turn out to be that way after all. We were fans of the bendable display, but clearly the HD Curved Plastic OLED display did disappoint with blotched colours and uneven back lighting. What the handset was indeed good at was battery life, which was indeed above par with its 3500 mAh battery.

With such a huge price drop, we cannot wait to see the price of the G3 drop as well, which has been hovering at Rs 47,990 since launch. Handsets in a similar price range would include the HTC One E8 and the Samsung GALAXY S5 which retail at about Rs 35,999 and Rs 37,000 respectively and will easily trash the G Flex in terms of camera and pure horsepower.
