Samsung GALAXY Alpha Gets Listed For Pre-Order; Then Gets Pulled Down
Clearly Samsung’s metal-rimmed warrior is all geared up for an announcement pretty soon.
We just got our first glimpse of the Samsung GALAXY Alpha yesterday and now it seems that retailer MobileFun even listed the product online on its website. MobileFun is indeed not a small vendor and if you do remember, it was the first website to list the LG G Watch online before Google could announce it at the I/O event. So in all probability, the GALAXY Alpha may be ready for show time, it’s just that Samsung has to announce it first. After all, it is going to be Samsung’s first Android handset with metal underpinnings.
The listing was just up for a few hours and has since then been taken down. What we did get from it is the fact that the GALAXY Alpha will feature the fingerprint sensor as on the GALAXY S5 and the usual heart rate monitor as well. Also mentioned in the product description was the price, set at 549 GBP which is approximately 56,349 INR in Indian monies. A pretty steep price for a handset that is partially made out of metal and comes with mid-range hardware (apart from the Exynos 5 processor).

So what do you think? Has Samsung indeed found the sweet spot like Apple? Have they found the perfect combination of screen-size, build quality and pixel density combined with a beefy Exynos 5433 processor? If that is indeed the case, we could be looking at game-changing product from Samsung, after a really long time.
