Sony Adding ‘Move to SD’ Feature Via KitKat Updates
The feature had apparently disappeared since the Jelly Bean update.
Sony has been busy crunching and pushing out the promised KitKat updates to its arsenal of Android smartphones out there. While the updates come out in waves, and reach a group of handsets at a time, users have notice one big change in the Applications Manager settings; apps can now be moved to the SD card.
This was indeed a feature that disappeared with ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich) and since Jelly Bean (which is what the new range of Sony devices comes pre-loaded with) has been missed by users worldwide. While the feature does not do much for the flagship devices, it indeed adds a lot of benefits for the mid range as they have a limited amount of on-board memory to deal with.
The feature that is now seeding via Sony’s 4.4.2 KitKat updates for its smartphones, has show up on the Xperia T2 Ultra so far and hopefully is not limited to that handset.

Moving apps from your phone memory will indeed speed up your smartphone by leaps and bounds. So if you have a smartphone that supports the feature and an SD Card with a larger capacity, we suggest you get moving already.
