ASUS Hits The Sweet Spot In India; 40,000 Zenfones Sold in 4 Days
Apart from it being a brilliant product, ASUS’ Regional Head also has Flipkart to thank.
ASUS has revealed that it has indeed managed to move about 40,000 of its Android-powered Zenfones off the shelves in just 4 days. That is indeed a big number, especially for a new-entrant in the Android smartphone market.
While the Zenfones do come in a variety of sizes and sport exceptional build quality, ASUS’ Regional Head, Mr. Peter Chang also has Flipkart to thank, for pushing the product and making it available online in about 300 cities.
"We are overwhelmed with the response received within just 4 days of the launch. The reaction from the Indian masses has been astonishing owing to our partnership with Flipkart and our offline channels. It is surprising to see that the product has reached to 300 cities immediately post launch. We believe that we have come much closer to delivering as per our users’ needs and wants. Aesthetically crafted Zenfones have been successful to touch the heart of Indian tech lovers and we are affirmative that we are going to witness greater response in the near future."
The massive sales figure does include all the models of the Zenfone and also includes the handsets sold via ASUS retailers as well.
A bigger feat was achieved by Flipkart when the Moto G went on sale, however, the same could not be said about the Moto E. We do have to keep in mind that the Moto G was just one single device. It will just be a few days more, until we hear such numbers from Xiaomi who has already opened registrations for its big sale on Flipkart and will be selling its handsets in limited numbers only.
