Use This Armband To Control Your Computer With Gestures
The device uses the electrical activity of the arm and figures out the gestures
A few days ago there were reports about a 3DTouch a fingertip wearable, which can replace mouse, and now comes an armband that lets you control your computer without mouse.
All you have to do is gesture to get the task done for you. The armband has been developed by a startup called Thalmic Labs and has been named as Myo. When strapped to your arm, the sensors in the device measure the electrical activity of the arm and figures out the gestures that the person is making.
The product is already available in the market for $149 and will be shipped in September. At present the product is available only in US and is supposed to work with Windows, Mac, iOS and Windows devices.
In a communication to Huffington Post the company said that the company was building the future of human-computer interaction and Myo armband was just the first step towards it.
On a hindsight, the use of this technology is limitless.
