Unnamed Samsung Handset Shows Up On Benchmarks; Could Be S5 Neo

A handset with slightly lower specifications compared to the GALAXY S5 shows up on GFX benchmarks.

A handset tagged as the SM-G850 has shown up on a benchmarking website and comes with a pretty decent set of specifications. We suspect that it could be the GALAXY S5 Neo, which would be a cheaper variant of the S5 apart from the Mini version and is said to be more compact than mini (think HTC’s One E8 along with HTC One Mini 2).

The handset comes with a slightly watered-down specs and certainly falls in line with the company’s Neo range of handsets. The handsets in the Neo range often look the part when it comes to its premium counterparts, but come with mid-range hardware.

This handset is no different, it comes with 4.7 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixel) display powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Exynos silicon, which comes with 4 x Cortex A15 cores and 4 x Cortex A7 Cores and an ARM Mali-T628 MP6 hexa-core GPU. RAM is rated at 1.8 GB with internal storage showing up at a rather strange 26 GB of memory.

As for the camera, we have a 11MP camera sensor on the back with an LED flash and 2 MP unit on the front. Both are capable of recording Full HD video.

The phone will run KitKat Android version 4.4.4 and will also include the usual radios such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Lets hope that Samsung makes the device official soon.
