OPPO Ties Up With Amazon India To Sell Smartphones Online

The new entrant in the mobile market plans to set up 200 service centres in India.

After Motorola and Xiaomi, OPPO has now become the third brand to sign a pact with an online retailer in India. The Chinese smartphone maker, who recently launched its flagship Find 7 handset in India, said that it will be selling all its handset models online on Amazon India.

All the handsets that have been launched in the past as well, will also get populated on Amazon.in. The handsets are currently being sold in about 20 markets in India. Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobiles India said, “We want Indian consumers to be able to buy OPPO smartphones from every nook and corner of the country. And Amazon India will help us do just that."

The basic idea is to reach out to customers all over India. But what about service and support? For this OPPO plans to set up 200 service centres across India so that customers all over have at least one service centre in the region, if things happen go wrong with their cellphones. Indeed a good move since Motorola has nothing to say about the same even though their products are exclusively available online on Flipkart.

The company also mentioned that their Find 7 and 7a would soon be available via Amazon as well. The handset currently competes only with the LG G3 but will be available at a much lower price tag. The LG G3 will be available for pre-order in India just next week, so we hope that the OPPO Find 7 will begin rolling out soon.
