Leaks Show Bigger iPhone 6; May Sport A 5.5 Inch Display
You can now hold back on that mega-sized Android purchase, if you thought iPhones were too puny.
9to5Mac has got their hands on what is the actual component of the iPhone 6’s display setup and they come in two sizes as the earlier leaks suggested. The leaked images show a ruler being held across the display panel that prove that the iPhone 6 will come in two models, one being the competitor for bigger Android Phones.
The display is considerably bigger that normal iPhone 5s, measures in at 14 centimetres, which is roughly 5.5 inches. We also have to consider that the display will fit in to a bigger frame, increasing the overall size of the handset. This is a surprise to all of us because an Android-sized iPhone was expected only to be a rumour. This was something that Steve Jobs was strictly against, a ‘monstrous’ ‘hummer-sized’ device.

Samsung ushered in a trend with its Note range and currently still the ‘king of the block’ when it comes to the phablet category. Earlier leaks of the iPhone 6 had showed only the 4.7 inch model with rumours of bigger device. As the launch nears, we are now beginning to see more evidence of the larger 5.5 inch iPhone, which according to many in Apple’s supply chain, will be launched after the 4.7 inch model.
Will you make the switch, now that Apple is finally moving to bigger screens? Let us know in the comments below.
