HTC Desire 816 Now Available In Indian Market
It was expected to be proced at Rs. 23,990, but is priced more than that
HTC had announced the launch of HTC Desire 816 in India a few weeks ago, but the it has been finally made available for the Indian customers and has been up for grabs from Saturday.
Conidering that HTC's latest offering is competing against the likes of Sony's T2 Ultra and Samsung's Note 3 Neo, it was expected to be priced around Rs. 24k. According to the listings on infibeam and Flipkart, it has been listed for a prices of Rs. 27, 270 and Rs. 25,499 respectively.
The HTC Desire 816 boasts of a sleek, stylish plastic design and has a very minimalist appearance. It features a 5.5 inch HD IPS screen display and comes with the Dual Nano-SIM functionality. The handset is powered by a 1.6 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and supports HSPA+ connectivity along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 radios.
HTC Desire 816 runs on Android Kitkat (4.4) version of OS featuring all new Sense 5.5 with Blink-Feed interface. The device possesses 8 GB of internal memory which could be expanded up to 128 GB via a MicroSD card along with 1.5 GB of RAM. The phone is equipped with a 5 megapixel snapper on the front side along with a 13 megapixel camera with auto-focus on the rear which can record videos at 1080p HD resolution.
Under its hood, HTC’s latest offering fits a 2600 mAh battery which makes the phone last a day long. Desire 816 also features dual front-facing Boom-Sound speakers with built-in amplifiers.
Though, the Desire 816 was launched in a wide range of colours, as of now only white and grey models are available for purchase in online stores.
