Twitter Wants You To Check Your Tweets More Often; Adds Daydream For Android

Your tweets will now appear like a screensaver on your phone or tablet while docking it for charging.

Love checking your Twitter account every two minutes? Well, you would be happy to know that Twitter has finally added Daydream support for its Android app. This means that the app will quietly pull out tweets from your stream and display them in the form of a screen saver when you dock your phone or tablet for charging.

Kind of makes your tablet like a billboard displaying tweets from your newsfeed into a slow and gradual slideshow of tweets. This is why we think that the Daydream feature suits tablets better. The tweets are neatly laid out in the centre of the screen and the format looks similar to the stuff you would find on Facebook Home’s lock screen which, comes with similar transitions. You can also choose to see your tweets to be displayed in the form of slides in a slideshow or in the form of a collage.

All you need to do is update your Twitter app to the latest version and make sure that you are running Android Jelly Bean 4.2. Once installed, you can access the daydream feature by clicking on Settings, then Display and finally Daydream.
