Think Apple Copies Ideas? WhatsApp CEO Feels The Same
Clearly everyone has been noticing how much Apple borrows features from other operating systems.
WhatsApp CEO, Jan Koum seemed to be mad at Apple after seeing many of WhatsApp’s features being used in Apple’s recently announced iMessage app. The app announced by Apple seems to have copied features from a number of messaging platforms including WhatsApp.
Jan Koum, took to Twitter to pass a sarcastic comment at Apple in a tweet pointing out to Apple’s lack of innovation.
very flattering to see Apple "borrow" numerous WhatsApp features into iMessage in iOS 8 #innovation

iMessage borrows Snapchat’s ‘self-destruct’ feature and like WhatsApp will allow you to place video, audio and location data into your chat conversations. Dropbox is up next, as Apple seems to have borrowed heavily from them as well.
It seemed to be a jaw-dropping keynote for many on Tuesday at the Apple WWDC 2014, but there were indeed plenty who seemed to be shocked for other reasons. A tradition that Apple seems to have begun with iOS 7 of borrowing features of other OS’s seems to have been taken to the limit with iOS 8.
