With an eye on the internet enabled low-end mobile phone market Microsoft devices has launched a new feature phone Nokia 225, which is priced at Rs. 3329.
According to the company, the phone will allow affordable internet access through the cloud-powered Nokia Xpress Browser. The phone comes with a 2.8-inch display and a 2 megapixel rear camera.
Apart from the internet access, another feature that might appeal to the low-end user is that the phone offers a maximum music playback time of over 51 hours.
It also has Gameloft store, which is preloaded on the Nokia 225 with ready to play five games and can support a Micro SD card upto 32GB.
The company is known to produce devices that are suitable for the dusty Indian conditions and the 225 also features a splash- and dust-proof keymat that is durable and easy to clean.
It also has pre-loaded the device with the cloud-powered Nokia Xpress Browser, which the company claims uses less data and delivers fast performance, even over slower networks.
