HTC One M8 Prime To Come With An Aluminium Silicon Carbide Construction

Better processor, better display, better everything.

Now that the rumours and leaks regarding the Samsung GALAXY S5 have simmered down, it now looks like its HTC's turn to enjoy the limelight. Twitter leaker EvLeaks had a very interesting conversation with HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon. The leaker seems to have silenced the accusations made by the HTC Manager, who claimed that his leaks were incorrect; leaking out a number of features of the upcoming HTC M8 Prime handset in the process.

The HTC One M8 is certainly a stunning device with the performance to match. The only feature that the device lacked was dust and water resistance (which many have proved already exists) along with a QHD (2560 x 1440) screen.

Evleaks revealed that the device’s body will be made out of a metal-ceramic composite also known as Aluminium Silicon Carbide. The material apparently allows for high thermal conductivity and is also lightweight and strong when compared to the metal that is already in use on the existing HTC One M8. Obviously, the body will be used to cool the processor down which often heats up while using the radios or while running graphically intensive games.

Apart from this, the handset is rumoured to sport a Snapdragon 805 SoC, a 5.5 inch WQHD (2560 x 1440 in 16:9 aspect ratio) display and LTE bands as well. HTC is clearly not too good when it comes to keeping a secret. This was made pretty clear when HTC One M8 showed up a number of times and even in extended demo videos. Looks like HTC is still unable to keep things under wraps for now.
