Google's Play Store Gets An Update; Brings Some Much-Needed UI Changes

Google seems to be adding deeper Google Plus integration to the store.

Google is finally rolling out its long-rumoured update which apart from bringing some changes in the UI also adds PayPal support. The PayPal support as mentioned earlier will be limited to a few countries only.

Changes are present almost everywhere in the update app. The headers now get better transparency meaning that you can now see the hero image pretty clearly. Moreover the action bar now fades when at the top and gradually appears as you start scrolling downwards.

Another change that is clearly visible is in the review editing box. The box now adds your Google+ display image and your cover image as well. This looks very similar to the Google+ apps profile page if you ask us.

The most welcomed change according to us is the addition of larger buttons throughout the UI. This makes it a lot easier to click on; especially on devices with smaller displays.

Lastly we now finally have some simplified, better-looking permission lists. The lists now have neat dropdowns and even come with their own icons. The icons are similar to the ones you get to see when you are manually installing an .apk file from your device’s file manager.

The update will roll-out gradually but if you are in a hurry you can head over to AndroidPolice and download the .apk file at your own risk.
