Swarm Makes For The Perfect App To Coordinate Those Quick Rendezvous
Will this watered-down version of Foursquare attract users?
Foursquare has finally made the much-talked about check-in app Swarm, available for download. The app which is available for both iOS and Android, allows users to find nearby friends, check in and even plan those meet ups.
The app certainly comes with an intuitive design which makes the whole check-in experience fun. The first time you login, the app apart from showing you your friends’ previous check-ins will also show you your entire friends list. Post that swarm will deliver push notifications whenever your friends are in the neighbourhood so the two of you can simply catch up.
Swarm will access your physical location to let your friends know when you are nearby. Just like Foursquare, there are stickers and new mayorships up for grabs. What Swarm will also help you do as mentioned earlier, is help plan a meet up.
The meet up option is pretty spontaneous considering that you have a lot of friends on Swarm and will automatically alert those near to you. Apart from that, it basically functions like a group chat where you message and tag people and places until you meet up.
All-in-all Swarm makes for a great app if you happen to have your friends on it. What is fun is the planning part which is good because you basically know who is where at all times ensuring that no one gets lost.
