Free full-fledged FPS based on Unreal Tournament 3 engine.
Renegade X: Black Dawn is a sequel to the FPS game Renegade X, a successful C&C: Renegade mod based on the Unreal Tournament 3 engine. With an estimated gameplay time of 1-2 hours in the single-player mode, Black Dawn purports to be a demonstration of the upcoming and larger multiplayer version.
The game is set on a small island in the Black Sea that has been turned into a fortress belonging to the international terrorist organisation known as the Brotherhood of Nod. The terrorists have captured UN Global Defence Initiative (GDI) research specialist Dr Ignatio Mobius and his daughter Sydney. Obviously, your aim is to battle past the heavily armed fortifications into the heart of the Nod base, rescue the scientists, and destroy the base. Luckily, you are not on your own, as two GDI battalions will provide you covering fire to distract the enemy, making it easier for you to achieve your objective.
This version comes with a short 10-part campaign with custom cinematics, and gives you a taste of all the weapons, vehicles, and characters to expect in the multiplayer release. The screenshots appear to show a lot of nice scenery with large maps and high-resolution graphics. Before you download, check if your rig meets the minimum system configuration as enlisted below:
