Android Apps More Stable Than Those On iOS: Study
According to app watchdog, only 1.04% of Andriod 4.0 apps crash.

While Apple devices are miles ahead of their Android counterparts as far as sales are concerned, a new study by the mobile application monitoring company Crittercism states that iOS applications crash more often than Android apps. While most applications crash under iOS 5.0.1, it should be noted that the OS is relatively new. Having said that, iOS 4.3.3 has also caused a 10.66% of mobile apps to crash. In comparison only 1.04% of Android 4.0.1 apps are prone to crashes. That's quite commendable.
Forbes mentions that Crittercism analyzed over 214 million app using its service between November and December 2011. While iOS added three times the number of apps launched on Android, the analysis is based on percentage and not absolute numbers, thereby making the study fair.
However, there are users with jailbroken devices who don't update apps periodically. Therefore apps that have been fixed also continue to crash. Do you suffer from frequent app crashes? Do let us know through the comments section.
