Samsung Galaxy S5 Finally Available In Copper Gold
Only the blue, black and white versions of the flagship handset were available till now.
Samsung has finally announced its much-awaited Copper Gold version of its flagship device, the GALAXY S5. The world-wide success seems to be doing great here in India as well and Samsung seems to be making hay while the sun shines by bundling attractive offers with the handset as well.
The Samsung GALAXY S5 was launched with much fanfare a couple of months ago here in India but until now was available only in Black and White. Samsung at the launch event did mention the rest of the colours at the launch date but did not specify when those variants would be available.
Finally one can now purchase the Copper Gold version of the GALAXY S5 both online and in stores. We say finally because the colour gold does have a higher demand in the Indian market as Vineet Taneja, Country Head, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung India clarifies:
“Gold has a huge appeal among Indian consumers as it lends a niche and premium feel to the product. The various shades of gold are associated with luxury and make for an excellent aspirational buy. This specially crafted Galaxy S5 in Copper Gold variant is aimed at consumers seeking seamless integration of stunning classic design and exceptional functionality to make their lives more efficient.”
The price of the flagship device has certainly dropped in stores and online to Rs. 44,500 but this has not stopped Samsung from bundling the handset with some amazing offers. Samsung is even offering GALAXY S5 buyers a gift coupon worth Rs 5000 (till the end of May) on accessories and a GALAXY gift voucher worth Rs 34,000 on premium applications as well.
Strangely, Samsung has been trying desperately hard to push of its GALAXY S5 handsets. The company is even offering discounts of up to Rs 7500 in exchange of an older functioning handset as well. It’s almost like their trying to make way for something bigger. Will it be the premium QHD specd GALAXY S5 next? Only time will tell.
