LG G3 Leaks Once Again; Shows Us Its Ultra-Thin Bezel

A plastic unibody may be in the works.

 

Just a few days ago there appeared some leaked images of the much-awaited LG G3 smartphone’s back with only the camera in focus. Finally, thanks to a Korean website, we now get the full monty.

This time around the leaker leaves nothing to doubt and almost gives us a 360 degree view of the device in good lighting. The images clearly show the back panel with LG’s back-side controls for the power/unlock button and the volume control rocker that surrounds it. A little higher up is the camera set up with a dual tone LED flash and the mystery black sensor. At the bottom of the backside is the speaker grill with the USB port and 3.5mm audio jack on the border.


 

Well, enough of the old stuff. The front view shows a large screen (which we pray is a QHD one) with an ultra-thin bezel. The speaker grill on the top and the LG logo at the bottom are the only two objects that are visible on the front face. Seems like LG has tried to squeeze in that rumoured 5.5 inch QHD display into a smaller body which is why we think that the G3 will sport a unibody design.


 

LG just a few days ago sent out invites for a global launch for its upcoming flagship smartphone, to make things official. From what we know so far, the LG G3 is rumoured to sport a 5.5 inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixel)display (there may be a Full HD one as well) powered by  a Snapdragon 801 SoC along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Powering the optically stabilised lens and the rest of the internals will be a hefty 3000mAh battery unit. Moreover, there could be also two versions of the device as mentioned above with the only difference being the pixel density and the RAM size.

Moreover the back-buttons setup works just fine for the LG G3 as it allows LG to take the screen to very extremes. What worries us for now is how the LG G3 will fare in a drop test with those ultra-thin bezels.
