So far, all dummy units and leaked images point towards a rounded iPad Air like device.

 

Another image of what appears to be a dummy unit of the iPhone for case makers has leaked online. An Italian website reports that this is the final version of the mock-up that most case manufacturers will use to build cases for the much-awaited iPhone 6.

Yes, we think this is exactly what the final iPhone will look like. A rounded iPad Air shaped device with a slightly protruding camera lens unit and a sapphire coated glass display. Leak after leak, be it from the factory floor, a loading dock or even from leaked renders; all point to a rounded yet flat iPhone 6.

If you ask us, the volume keys look more like the recently announced HTC Desire 816. What is certain though, is that those sharp bevelled edges are no more. Apple seems to be mimicking the design of the iPad Air albeit with much smaller dimensions and a scratch-proof sapphire coated display cover.

The rumoured 4.8 inch iDevice has been showing a consistency lately in the past two months in terms of design. Moreover 9 to 5 Mac also points out that Apple has already begun shipping sapphire to its Chinese manufacturers as well; which indicates that the next iPhone could be announced as soon as September.
