BlackBerry Z3 Finally Goes On Pre-Order; Will Be Exclusive To Indonesia

Sporting some budget specs, BlackBerry also launched a limited edition of the Z3 for Jakarta.

 

BlackBerry finally took the wraps off the BlackBerry Z3. The phone as we now know has been specially designed for the Indonesian market and will also come in a limited Jakarta edition version.

Both versions of the handset come with similar specifications. The BlackBerry Z3 comes with some really budget specifications and is said to cost under $200 (approx. 12,000 INR). The device comes with a 5 inch qHD (540 x 960 pixel) display and sports a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. A 5 MP shooter is in charge of the camera department with a 1.1 MP sensor on the front. Powering all of the above is a large 2,500 mAh battery unit which should easily last a day on moderate use.

The device will run BlackBerry OS version 10.2.1 but sadly not be available outside the Indonesian market. If you ask us, the BlackBerry Z10 (albeit from another segment) makes for a better choice and comes with improved hardware specs and faster performance at a slightly higher price tag. This is of course keeping in mind BlackBerry’s Anniversary celebrations in India.

Outside the BlackBerry domain, there are number of Android options including the Moto G and a number of local brands as well that trounce the device in terms of specifications.
