Samsung Gives Us A Preview Of The GALAXY K Zoom Via Social Media
Shows us its unbeatable zoom performance and the S5 like dimpled back .
The GALAXY K Zoom has been leaked over and over again online. The last time we heard about it, it was being displayed to sell a case made for the same. This time around, Samsung itself teases us something very unique to the GALAXY K Zoom.
That unique feature will definitely have to be the K Zoom’s optical zoom feature. The smartphone and camera hybrid has a lot of fans, holding on to their GALAXY S5 purchases worldwide. And with just a day left for the announcement, makes sense if Samsung starts teasing us with some details about this much awaited handset.
Samsung took to Instagram showing a simple video displaying the K Zoom’s zoom capabilities. They framed the Red Dot Museum, Singapore, in the video and simply zoomed in and out. As expected, the optical zoom did do really well and maintained the details of the image at maximum zoom as well. This is a simple demonstration of what we expect to see tomorrow at the Red Dot Museum itself when the handset is announced.
Next up, Samsung took to Twitter, clearly showing us the dimpled leather like back of the K Zoom. From the image below we can clearly see that the design of the handset has a lot of detail unlike its predecessor which was plasticy and felt cheap.

Samsung’s GALAXY K Zoom is rumoured to sport a compact 4.8 inch SuperAMOLED HD (1280 x 720p) screen and a 6-core Samsung Exynos 5 Hexa (5260) SoC with ARM’s big.LITTLE HMP technology. Two of those would be 1.7GHz Cortex-A15 cores while the other four are 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores; along with some quad-core ARM Mali-T624 GPU graphics processing.
Coupled with all this fire power would be 2 GB of RAM, and the phone will run Android KitKat out of the box. Internal memory will stand at 8 GB, while storage will be expandable via a micro SD card for you to store those large 20 MP photographs.
The K Zoom will pack a 20.0 MP image sensor on the back and 2.1MP camera unit on the front. The primary camera would also be supported by a Xenon Flash and an OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) system to reduce shake, which should be quite handy considering the 10X zoom capabilities.
