Google's Chrome Remote Desktop App Steps Out Of Beta; Now Available For Android
Allows you to access your Mac, PC or Linux desktop from your Android device.
Google’s Chrome Remote Desktop service is not new, what is new is the Android app which will now allow you to access your desktop from your mobile device. Google’s Chrome Remote Desktop service was launched back in 2011; and while the newly released Android app was in beta for quite some time, it is finally now available for download.
The Chrome Remote Desktop app is supported by all capable Android mobile phones and tablets. What makes it so different from the rest of the apps is that is very simple to set up.
The set up process is very short and simple and works on all types of operating systems which could be a Mac, PC, Linux and even a Chrome OS system. You simply enable remote access for your machine on your Mac, Windows or Linux computer by downloading a plugin in the Chrome Web Store. Then you download the Chrome Remote Desktop app for Android from the Play Store and open the app, revealing all the computers that have the Chrome Browser plugin. Simply click to connect.
All-in-all Chrome Remote Desktop makes for a simple, yet effective way to help you communicate with your PC when you are away.
