Deal Alert: Samsung GALAXY S4 Now Selling For Rs 28,000
Its price drop after price drop for the GALAXY S3’s successor.
The GALAXY S4 was launched back in March of 2013 and seems like even though it’s a year now, the phone still does not seem to selling well. The phone certainly failed to come anywhere close to its predecessor, the GALAXY S3 which was probably Samsung’s best-selling GALAXY model to date. How do we gauge that? Well, there’s the price that just keeps on dropping and is now selling on Amazon.in for a cool Rs 28,000.
Compared to the GALALXY S3, the GALAXY S4 seemed more of an incremental upgrade which is why it failed to attract buyers initially. Soon after the GALAXY S5 was launched at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the GALAXY S4 in India saw another price cut from the original price of Rs 40,690 to Rs 30,000. Seems like retailers are all geared up to empty the GALAXY S4 stockpiles before the GALAXY S5’s starts selling.
If one takes a broader look at the pricing, retailers are placing the GALAXY S4 side by side by the Nexus 5. Placing it alongside the Nexus 5 (16GB) will definitely get it more buyers since the Samsung offers a lot more in the form of a 13 MP camera, micro SD card expansion and a stunning AMOLED display. But buyers will also have to deal with slow software updates and Samsung’s ugly TouchWiz OS—things that the Nexus handles with aplomb. If you care to experiment, Nokia offers a stunning camera on its Lumia 925 as well at cooler Rs 27,000; but is limited when it comes to storage.
So which one will you choose?
